Mohs Surgery

We focus on the prevention of skin cancer, find it early and deliver effective and passionate treatment. Our board certified Mohs surgeon can carefully remove most skin cancers in sensitive areas.

Basel Cell Carcinoma

Basal Cell Carcinoma is the most common type of skin cancer, especially in these Michigan lake communities. It occurs on heavily sun exposed areas, and needs to be removed entirely to prevent deformation, scarring and ulceration. We use the most effective and reasonable treatments and therapies to cure these lesions, often including Mohs micrographic surgery, excision and topical chemotherapy or cryotherapy.

Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Squamous Cell Carcinoma is a common skin cancer that occurs usually due to intense UV radiation. It can be cured with Mohs surgery, excisions and cryosurgery. We aggressively treat precancerous lesions to reduce the progression of these tumors.

Melanoma

Melanoma is the most dangerous form of skin cancer. It usually starts as a lesion similar to a freckle or mole and quickly changes to become irregular and multicolored. This form of skin cancer can metastasize and be fatal. Because of this, we recommend full body skin cancer screening exams annually as this allows us to detect melanoma early and treat it aggressively. Most of the time, we are able to detect melanoma early with dermoscopy exams

Pre-cancer and Actinic Keratosis

Many people grow precancerous lesions on their head, scalp, arms, and chest. These are red, crusty lesions that never heal. They can represent heavy UV radiation damage and are precursors to squamous cell carcinoma.
